Targeted Possibilities recently had the opportunity to travel to Augusta, Georgia, for the 9th Annual Apparo Academy Golf Tournament at Forest Hills Golf Club.
This was more than just a great day of golf. The tournament brought golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and community supporters together to help an organization doing important work for children and families throughout the Augusta area.
About Apparo Academy
Apparo Academy is a nonprofit, faith-based school in Augusta that serves children of varying abilities in an inclusive learning environment.
What makes Apparo unique is the way education and therapy are brought together in one location. Children have access to individualized education along with services such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, feeding therapy, sensory integration therapy, and nursing care.
The goal is simple: help every child become better prepared for the next stage of life.
That mission made this tournament especially meaningful.

Golf With a Purpose
The 9th Annual Apparo Academy Golf Tournament was held September 28 at Forest Hills Golf Club and presented by Stokes Hodges Auto Group.
Funds generated through the tournament help Apparo continue providing education, therapy, and nursing care for the children and families it serves.
Events like this are a great example of what charity golf can accomplish. Golfers get a fun day on the course, sponsors get an opportunity to support their community, and the organization can raise money and awareness for its mission.
Adding Something Different to the Course
Targeted Possibilities was proud to be part of the tournament with our Golf Ball Air Cannon.
Instead of simply playing another traditional golf hole, players had an opportunity to step up and launch their golf ball down the fairway using the cannon.
It creates some laughs, gives players something different to talk about, and adds another memorable moment to the tournament.
More importantly, experiences like the Air Cannon can be incorporated into a charity tournament’s fundraising plan while keeping golfers moving around the course.
That’s what we want our services to do: help charities create a better player experience while supporting the reason everyone came together in the first place.
Thank You, Apparo Academy
