Most Popular Questions
How much money can our tournament raise?
Our clients typically see a 3.5x return on investment, with larger events generating over $7,000 in revenue.
Do your activities slow down pace of play?
No, our Air Cannon and Drone Drive are designed to integrate smoothly into the event and actually help pace of play while enhancing fun.
What is Drone Drive?
Drone Drive is a new and exciting activity where drones deliver golf balls to the green, adding a unique twist to your tournament.
How far will you travel?
We primarily serve South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and surrounding states, allowing us to provide dependable service without the uncertainty that can come with vendors traveling long distances. For larger events, we are also available to travel nationwide.
Why do you use flat-fee pricing?
Unlike revenue-sharing models, our flat-fee pricing allows organizations to keep 100% of participation and sponsorship revenue generated through our activities. The result is greater fundraising potential, predictable costs, and complete control over how your event is structured.
Bottom line, we don’t get paid more when your charity raises more, we charge a flat fee so your organization keeps the revenue it worked hard to generate.
General Questions
What is Targeted Possibilities?
Targeted Possibilities is a family-owned company that specializes in helping charity golf tournaments raise more money while creating memorable experiences for players. Through innovative fundraising activities such as the Air Cannon, Drone Drive, and Drone Ball Drop, we help tournament directors increase player engagement, attract sponsors, and generate additional revenue without slowing down pace of play.
Our mission is simple: solve a tournament director’s biggest challenge—raising more funds while delivering an event that players look forward to attending year after year. By combining unique experiences with proven fundraising strategies, we help organizations put the FUN back into FUNdraising.
Are you insured?
Yes we are fully insured for all of our activities. We can provide proof of our insurance upon request. This is a critical item to check with any vendor. Make sure their insurance is actually for their company and not trying to operate under someone else’s policy. Additionally, ensure you can be added as an insured party for your protection.
Is Targeted Possibilities a licensed business?
Absolutely. Targeted Possibilities is a legally registered and insured business dedicated to serving charity golf tournaments and fundraising events. Unlike temporary vendors or hobby operators, we are committed to providing professional event support, dependable service, and long-term relationships with the organizations we serve.
We encourage every tournament director to ask potential vendors about their business registration, insurance coverage, and experience before booking. Doing so helps protect your organization, your volunteers, and your participants while ensuring a successful event.
Tournament Director Questions
Planning & Booking
How far in advance should we book our tournament entertainment?
The earlier you book, the better. We recommend reserving your tournament entertainment at least 90 days before your event whenever possible.
Booking early gives your charity enough time to secure sponsors, promote the activities, and build excitement before tournament day. It also gives our team time to create custom sponsor materials, landing pad, and other event items that help your sponsors receive the recognition they deserve.
As a family-owned and operated business, we intentionally limit the number of events we accept so every tournament receives the personal attention it deserves. Spring and fall are our busiest seasons, and popular weekends often fill months in advance.
If your tournament is coming up sooner than 90 days, don’t worry. Contact us anyway. If we have availability, we will do everything we can to help make your event a success.
Booking early gives you the best selection of dates and allows everyone involved to prepare for a smooth, successful fundraiser.
What information do you need before providing a quote?
-
Providing a quote is quick and easy. In most cases, we only need a few details about your event.
To prepare an accurate quote, we’ll ask for:
- Your tournament date
- The golf course or event location
- Your estimated number of teams or golfers
- Which activity you’re interested in, such as the Air Cannon, Drone Drive, or Drone Ball Drop
If you’re not sure which activity is the best fit, that’s perfectly fine. We’ll discuss your tournament, fundraising goals, and budget, then recommend the option that we believe will provide the best experience for your golfers while helping your organization raise the most money.
There is no pressure and no obligation. Our goal is to help you choose the activity that best fits your event, whether it’s increasing fundraising, improving pace of play, creating excitement for your sponsors, or giving golfers a memorable experience.
What happens after we reserve our date?
Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send you a simple service agreement outlining the details of your event.
To officially reserve your date, we require a $150 deposit. This allows us to block our calendar and begin preparing for your tournament.
After your reservation is confirmed, we’ll work with you throughout the planning process. Depending on the activity you’ve selected, we’ll help coordinate sponsor materials, event logistics, and any information we need from your tournament committee. Our goal is to make the planning process as easy and stress-free as possible.
Final payment is due before your tournament tees off.
To help your charity keep more of the money it raises, we prefer payment by check or ACH transfer, which avoids additional processing costs. We also accept major credit cards for your convenience. Please note that our payment processor automatically adds a 3% processing fee to all credit card transactions.
From the day you reserve until the final golfer leaves the course, we’re here to help make your event a success.
Can multiple activities be booked together?
Absolutely. Many larger tournaments choose to combine two or more of our activities to create an even more exciting experience for golfers.
However, we generally recommend multiple activities only for larger tournaments or events where participation is included with registration rather than requiring golfers to pay separately at each activity.
When too many “pay-to-play” fundraising activities are offered during the same tournament, they often compete with one another. Instead of increasing revenue, they can divide golfers’ spending and reduce the overall fundraising potential for each activity.
Our goal isn’t to sell you the most services possible. It’s to help your tournament raise the most money while giving golfers a fun and enjoyable experience.
We’ll gladly discuss your tournament size, fundraising goals, and player experience to recommend the combination of activities that makes the most sense for your event.
What if our event date changes?
We understand that weather, course scheduling, and other unexpected situations can sometimes force a tournament to change dates.
If your event needs to be rescheduled, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your new date. We understand how much work goes into planning a charity golf tournament, and we believe flexibility is part of providing great customer service.
If we’re available on your new date, we’ll simply move your reservation and continue planning your event.
If we’re already committed to another tournament and cannot provide services on the new date, we’ll refund your deposit.
Our goal is to work with you, not against you, so your organization can continue focusing on raising money for your cause.
What makes your sponsorship opportunities different?
Yes. We require a $150 deposit to reserve your tournament date.
Because we accept a limited number of events throughout the year, the deposit allows us to block our calendar and begin preparing for your tournament.
The remaining balance is due before your tournament tees off.
To help your charity avoid unnecessary expenses, we prefer payment by check or ACH transfer, since these methods don’t include processing fees. We also accept all major credit cards if that’s more convenient. Please note that our payment processor automatically adds a 3% fee to credit card payments.
Once your deposit is received and your agreement is signed, your date is officially reserved, and we’ll begin working with you to ensure your tournament is a memorable and successful fundraising event.
Do you travel to tournaments outside of South Carolina?
Yes! Targeted Possibilities proudly serves charity golf tournaments throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia. We are also happy to travel outside of our primary service area when our schedule allows.
Every tournament is different, so travel costs are based on the actual distance and expenses required for your event. We believe in keeping our pricing fair and transparent. Rather than charging a large flat travel fee for every tournament, we calculate travel costs based on what is actually needed.
For many events within our primary service area, travel costs are minimal or may not apply at all. Tournaments that require extended driving, overnight lodging, or additional travel time may include a travel fee, which will always be discussed before your event is booked. There are never any surprise charges.
If you’re unsure whether your tournament falls within our service area, simply contact us. We’ll be happy to discuss your event, provide a quote, and let you know exactly what to expect.
Our goal is to make it easy for charities, nonprofits, schools, churches, civic organizations, and golf courses to add exciting fundraising activities that create a memorable experience while helping raise more money for their mission.
Whether your tournament is just down the road or several hours away, we’re committed to providing the same personal service, professional execution, and attention to detail that have made Targeted Possibilities a trusted partner for charity golf tournaments throughout the Southeast.
Event Operations
Can your activities slow down the pace of play?
No. In fact, many tournament organizers are surprised to learn that our activities are designed to maintain, or even improve, the pace of play. We work hard to focus on charity golf tournament pace of play.
One of the biggest concerns golf courses have is keeping charity golf tournaments moving. Delays can create backups on the course, affect meal schedules, and reduce the overall experience for golfers. That’s why we have built our activities around efficiency.
Our Air Cannon is more than just a fun fundraising activity. We use proven operating procedures and pacing incentives to keep golfers moving quickly through the hole. Our staff has supported many tournaments and understands how to create an exciting experience without causing unnecessary delays.
Our Drone Drive can have an even greater impact on pace of play. We typically recommend using it on one of the most difficult holes on the course. Our FAA-certified drone pilot flies two of the teams golf balls directly from the tee to the green. Instead of playing a long and difficult hole, golfers go straight from the tee box to the putting surface.
Imagine a long par 4 where golfers would normally need multiple shots just to reach the green. With our Drone Drive, they may simply have a short putt for an eagle, or celebrating a hole-in-one. That can save several minutes for every foursome that participates.
Over the course of an entire tournament, those time savings add up. Golfers enjoy a unique experience, your charity raises additional funds, and the golf course benefits from smoother pace of play.
Our goal is to create fundraising activities that don’t just generate revenue, they also help your tournament run more efficiently. It’s one more reason why tournament directors and golf courses continue to invite Targeted Possibilities back year after year.
How much space do you need?
One of the biggest advantages of working with Targeted Possibilities is that we require very little from the golf course or tournament staff.
Our activities are designed to have minimal impact on your event. We set up directly at the tee box and bring everything we need, including our own tent, table, chairs, signage, and operating equipment. Our goal is to arrive, get set up quickly, and allow your tournament committee to focus on running a great event.
The only item we ask the tournament to provide is one golf cart for the day.
Our team transports specialized equipment to the course, and the golf cart allows us to move everything to the assigned hole, adjust our setup if needed, monitor the activity throughout the tournament, and safely transport equipment at the end of the event. We’ve refined our process over many tournaments and can transport everything we need using a single golf cart.
Our objective is simple: create an exciting fundraising experience while requiring as little work as possible from your tournament staff.
What happens if it rains?
-
Weather is always a concern for outdoor events, and we understand that tournament committees need a dependable plan.
Our Air Cannon can operate in the rain without any issues. If your golf tournament is being played, we’ll be there providing the same exciting experience for your golfers.
Our Drone Drive is a little different. Light drizzle is usually not a problem, but heavy rain can make flying unsafe or impractical. Safety always comes first for both our pilots and your participants.
If the forecast shows significant rain before your event, we’ll work with you to find the best solution. In many cases, we can substitute our Air Cannon so your tournament still has an exciting fundraising activity without interruption.
Our goal is to help your tournament succeed regardless of the weather. We’ll stay in communication before your event and recommend the option that provides the best experience for your golfers while protecting everyone’s safety.
Who provides the volunteers?
Targeted Possibilities provides all of the trained staff needed to safely operate our activities. You don’t have to worry about finding people to run the Air Cannon or assist with our Drone operations. We handle that for you.
If your tournament plans to collect donations or participation fees at the activity, we strongly recommend assigning one volunteer from your organization to the hole.
Having a representative from your charity greeting golfers and accepting donations keeps your organization front and center throughout the experience. Players know exactly who they’re supporting, which often creates a more personal connection and encourages additional giving.
Your volunteer also becomes an ambassador for your cause. While golfers enjoy the activity, your representative can thank sponsors, answer questions about your mission, and share how the money raised will benefit your organization.
This simple approach keeps the focus where it belongs, on your charity, while our team concentrates on creating a safe, exciting, and memorable experience for every golfer.
How long does setup take?
We make setup simple and efficient.
Our team typically arrives about one hour before your shotgun start, giving us plenty of time to transport equipment to the course, set up our activity, complete safety checks, and be fully prepared before the first golfers arrive.
As long as a golf cart is available when we arrive, one hour is more than enough time for us to be completely ready.
Because we’ve supported many charity golf tournaments, our setup process is well organized and efficient. Our goal is to have everything in place before golfers reach the tee so your event starts on time without delays or added stress for your tournament committee.
By the time the opening announcements are complete, we’ll be ready to welcome golfers and help your fundraiser get off to a great start.
Do we need electricity?
Our equipment is designed to operate independently using battery-powered systems, allowing us to set up almost anywhere on the course without relying on power outlets or extension cords.
For Drone Drive operations, we bring our own battery systems to power our equipment throughout the event.
If your tournament includes both a morning and afternoon shotgun start, we may ask to recharge some batteries in the clubhouse between rounds. This has no impact on golfers or tournament operations and simply helps ensure we’re fully prepared for the second event.
Whether your tournament is held at a large private club or a smaller municipal course, our setup is completely self-contained and designed to keep things simple for both the golf course and the tournament committee.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes. Targeted Possibilities carries insurance for all of our operations, giving tournament committees, golf courses, sponsors, and participants added peace of mind.
Safety is one of our highest priorities. Every activity is operated by trained personnel using established procedures designed to provide a fun and professional experience while protecting golfers, volunteers, and course staff.
Whether we’re operating the Air Cannon, Drone Drive, or another fundraising activity, we take every reasonable precaution to ensure everything runs safely and smoothly from the first golfer to the last.
If your golf course or tournament committee requires proof of insurance before your event, simply let us know during the planning process. We’ll be happy to provide the appropriate documentation.
Revenue & Fundraising
How much money can our tournament raise?
Every tournament is different, and fundraising results depend on several factors including event size, player participation, sponsorship opportunities, and how the activity is incorporated into the tournament.
That said, our activities are specifically designed to generate revenue while enhancing the player experience. Many organizations choose to include participation in registration packages, sell individual participation opportunities, secure dedicated sponsors, or combine multiple revenue streams to maximize results.
While no two events are the same, most tournaments we support achieve a return of 3.5 times their investment. In some cases, organizations have generated more than $7,000 through a combination of sponsorships and activity participation.
During our consultation, we’ll help identify the fundraising strategy that best fits your tournament and provide realistic revenue expectations based on your event size and goals.
What factors have the biggest impact on revenue?
- Number of players
- Sponsorship support
- Inclusion in registration packages
- Activity placement on the course
- Marketing before the event
Can we include participation in player registration?
Absolutely, and we highly recommend it. Many of the charities we support have transitioned to this model and have seen excellent results. Including participation in registration creates a better player experience by making our activities part of the event rather than an additional purchase players must consider on tournament day.
This approach also helps increase participation rates, simplifies event operations, and provides more predictable fundraising revenue. Because we operate on a flat-fee pricing model, organizations have the flexibility to package activities into registration, sponsorships, or premium player experiences in whatever way best supports their fundraising goals.
Do players pay individually?
We highly recommend team participation vs individual usage. This provides a significantly higher return for the charity. We create usage incentives to ensure it is provides value to the team to participate together.
How do sponsorship opportunities work?
Sponsorships are often one of the largest revenue sources for a charity golf tournament. That’s why we don’t simply provide an activity—we help organizations create premium sponsorship opportunities around it.
Our activities are designed to deliver meaningful sponsor visibility and player engagement, helping tournament directors offer sponsorship packages that provide greater value than a traditional sign on a tee box. This allows organizations to pursue higher sponsorship levels while giving sponsors more opportunities to connect with participants throughout the event.
During the planning process, we’ll work with your team to identify sponsorship opportunities that align with your fundraising goals and help maximize the value delivered to both your sponsors and your charity.
What makes your sponsorship opportunities different?
Unlike traditional tournament activities that offer limited sponsor exposure, our fundraising experiences are designed to create memorable player interactions while providing enhanced visibility for sponsors. This helps charities create premium sponsorship opportunities that benefit both the organization and the businesses supporting the event.
Why do you use flat-fee pricing instead of revenue sharing?
At Targeted Possibilities, our goal is to help charities raise more money—not take a percentage of it. That’s why we use a flat-fee pricing model. Once we’re hired, every dollar generated through player participation, sponsorships, and fundraising activities stays with your organization.
Flat-fee pricing gives tournament directors the flexibility to:
- Keep 100% of fundraising revenue
- Bundle activities into player registration packages
- Create custom sponsorship opportunities
- Eliminate concerns about vendor commissions or revenue splits
- Accurately budget event expenses
It’s a simple, transparent approach that puts the charity first and helps maximize fundraising results.
