Supporting Saint Joseph’s Athletics with the Air Cannon

We had a great day at The Preserve at Verdae supporting the Saint Joseph’s Catholic School Knights Athletic Booster Club golf tournament.

The event was another great example of how a charity golf tournament in Greenville, SC can combine fundraising, fun and a memorable golfer experience.

Our Air Cannon was out on the course giving golfers a chance to trade their driver for something a little different, launching their golf ball more than 350 yards down the fairway with compressed air.

It is fun to watch, but the real purpose goes much deeper.

Golf Tournament Entertainment That Helps Raise Money

At Targeted Possibilities, our goal is to help charity golf tournaments create an experience golfers remember while giving the organization another way to raise money.

The Saint Joseph’s Knights Athletic Booster Club is a great example of why these events matter.

Money raised by the Booster Club helps support student-athletes through equipment and facility improvements. The Booster Club has helped fund weight room equipment, softball facility upgrades, scoreboards, trainer equipment, livestreaming of games, gym repairs and much more.

That support reaches a large part of the Saint Joseph’s community. The school reports that 77% of its students participate in athletics, and its athletic programs have earned 76 state championships.

That makes every additional fundraising opportunity important.

Adding Something Different to the Golf Course

The tournament was held at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, South Carolina. The Preserve is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Willard Byrd and is a former host of the PGA Tour’s Greater Greenville Classic.

Our Air Cannon added something golfers do not experience during a normal round.

Instead of simply arriving at another tee box and hitting another drive, players got to step up, load their golf ball into the cannon and fire it down the fairway.

The laughter, competition and reactions are a big part of what makes the Air Cannon work.

But we believe a good charity golf activity should do more than entertain.

It should help the organization raise money, create a memorable experience and keep the tournament moving.

That is what we work to deliver.
